This is the 2011 Madhouse series, which adapts the manga straight through with almost no filler, one arc per season. It is a different adaptation from the 1999 anime, which covers the early arcs at a different pace, so these stopping points do not apply to that version. Where sources gave a range with an overlapping chapter at the seam, the earlier chapter is used, so you may re-read a chapter or two rather than skip one.
