The show stays close to the book here, with nothing major changed, cut, or invented.
One of the cleanest adaptations in the medium: every season stops on a chapter boundary and picks straight back up, with no anime-original arcs. Note that the 2024 film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle covers ground beyond Season 4, but published sources disagree on exactly which chapter it stops at, so it is deliberately not listed as its own stopping point here. A film viewer following the Season 4 answer will re-read some of what the film covered, which is the safe direction to be wrong in.
