Horimiya: where to start reading

The anime reaches chapter 122, so chapter 123 is where it stops. But it skipped so much on the way that reading from chapter 1 is the common recommendation, and The Missing Pieces only fills part of the gap.
The 2021 series (13 episodes) leaves off around chapter 123. Pick the manga up right there:
Volume 16
The 2021 anime compresses sixteen volumes into thirteen episodes, so it skips a great deal rather than diverging outright. A later series, The Missing Pieces, went back and animated some of what was cut, but not all of it. That is why the usual advice is to read from the beginning rather than resume at the end.
